Well, ever since we arrived home on Thursday afternoon, things have been very busy. BM’s mom has been over every day helping with things like all the laundry that stacks up quickly and just helping to watch Grayson so that BM can catch a quick nap and I can run errands around town. It has been very nice having her here and she has worked very hard to help keep the house running smoothly.

Speaking of gmom, she and BM are both taking naps right now. I am happy to watch Mr. G. while they catch up on some needed sleep. Here is a picture of us at the computer this morning. G asked if he could type a blog entry, but when I told him we didn’t have a wwwwaaaa key, he decided against it.

Yesterday, I took G up to a pathology place to have some blood drawn and tested for jaundice. His bilirubin (sounds like a good classic southern sandwich) numbers have been a little high since he was born so we have been working to bring it down. We have continued to supplement him with formula in order to ensure he continues to have ample stool which helps move some of that bilirubin out of his system. We also take him on the porch to try and pickup a few of those UV rays that are running around out there. His test yesterday still came up a little higher than the doctor would like (10.something as I recall). But, she tells us it isn’t abnormal or anything to worry about for him to have the numbers he has right now. Lucky for us, we have a good doctor that we can ask to ensure we cut through all the wives tales associated with good old bili.

We have a schedule checkup with the pediatrician tomorrow just to make sure things are on the right track.
